Portfolio Loan

A loan that allows for more flexibility for credit history, qualifying ratios and down payments. Some situations that might warrant a portfolio loan may be a newly self-employed borrower, a recent bankruptcy, slow payments or a condo association that doesn't meet typical investor guidelines.
